Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a CVOR Technologist for a travel assignment in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You will work 40 hours per week in an evening shift, performing scrubbing, circulating, and heart-holder duties in the CVOR.

The contract runs for 13 weeks with travel arrangements, housing options, and comprehensive benefits provided by a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency. Prior CVOR experience and current CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent experience working as a surgical technician in an acute care setting.
Current CPR provider card.
Minimum of eighteen months CVOR recent experience or completed clinical orientation for open-heart patient care.
Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation for cardiac procedures, CABG and related surgeries.

Responsibilities

Performs treatments per protocols.
Scrubs, 2nd circulating, and Heart Holder roles in CVOR.
Picks supplies, sets up instruments, scrubs, and performs instrument and sponge counts.
Obtains specimens and hands to circulating nurse, verifies location.
Facilitates room turnover time.
Participates in department on-call schedule.
