Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a CVOR Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Norfolk, VA. The role requires a year of CVOR experience, active BLS, and preferred CST certification, with responsibilities spanning OR setup, instrument passing, and sterile technique.

The position offers 40 hours per week, dayshift, and travel benefits. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and efficient cardiovascular procedures.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a CVOR surgical tech.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ ARC).
• CST or nationally recognized equivalent certification preferred.
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Set up the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
• Stock surgical supplies and inspect surgical machines and equipment to ensure proper functionality prior to procedures.
• Assist in transporting patients to and from surgery as required.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team to deliver coordinated care.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs, passing instruments to maintain procedural flow.
• Maintain sterility and clean/sterilize instruments and equipment.
