Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Norfolk, Virginia. The role offers 40 hours per week, dayshift, and comprehensive benefits as part of a travel package.

The CVOR Technologist will prepare and maintain the operating room, ensure sterility, and collaborate with the surgical team to support cardiovascular procedures. Strong communication and accuracy are essential for patient safety.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a CVOR surgical tech.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ ARC) required.

Responsibilities

• Set up the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
• Stock and inspect surgical supplies and equipment for proper functionality.
• Assist in transporting patients to and from surgery as required.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists and the surgical team.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and pass instruments to maintain workflow.
• Handle specimens with care to maintain diagnostic integrity.
• Maintain sterility and infection control standards.
• Maintain proficiency in cardiovascular surgical procedures including open/closed heart surgeries.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
