Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel CVOR Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Northridge, CA. You’ll support cardiovascular procedures, set up sterile OR environments, and collaborate with surgeons to ensure patient safety.

The role requires a minimum of one year CVOR tech experience and BLS certification; CST is preferred. Benefits include competitive travel pay, insurance, PTO after 1560 hours, and licensure/CEU reimbursement.

Qualifications

• One year of recent CVOR surgical tech experience.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ ARC).
• CST or nationally recognized equivalent certification.
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Set up the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
• Stock surgical supplies and inspect equipment for proper functionality.
• Assist in transporting patients to and from surgery as required.
• Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to deliver coordinated care.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and pass instruments efficiently.
• Handle specimens with precision to maintain diagnostic integrity.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Utilize data from surgical cards for procedures and surgeon.
• Maintain proficiency in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeries.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
