Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a CVOR Technologist for a travel assignment in Springfield, Ohio. The position calls for skilled scrubbing, circulating, and Heart Holder duties in a CVOR setting with open-heart cases.

The ideal candidate has CVOR experience, surgical technology credentials, and CPR certification. The contract spans 13 weeks at 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts and travel compensation included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent experience in acute care.
• Current CPR provider card.
• Minimum of eighteen months of CVOR recent experience or completed clinical orientation for open-heart care.
• Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation for specific cardiac procedures.
• CABG and cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments per protocols.
• Scrub, 2nd circulating, and Heart Holder roles in CVOR.
• Prepare supplies, set up instruments, perform instrument and sponge counts.
• Obtain specimens and hand to circulating nurse.
• Facilitate room turnover time.
• Participate in department on-call schedule.
