Qualifications

• Eighteen months prior experience in a health care setting as a CT Tech.
• ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification required.
• Most states require licensure.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and produce cross-sectional images for diagnosis.
• Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment.
• Set controls, monitor equipment, and adjust as needed.
• Assist radiologists with imaging procedures and IVs.
• Distribute and manage contrast, if applicable.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and label properly.
• Schedule patients and assist with clerical tasks.
• Document procedures and charges in patient records.
