Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of acute care experience to join a Level III trauma nonprofit community hospital in Yakima, WA. The role supports inpatient, outpatient, and ED CT procedures across multiple body regions on GE EVO and Siemens Go Top scanners, with 12-hour night shifts and no on-call requirements.

You'll work with EPIC EMR and Philips View PACS, perform about 20 CTs per shift, and may float to nearby imaging locations.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT-CT certification and WA state license if applicable.
• Minimum 2 years acute care CT experience required.
• Experience with inpatient, outpatient and ED CT procedures.
• Comfortable working independently during nights/weekends.
• Comfortable working independently during nights or weekends.
• Peripheral IV starts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners within a Level III trauma hospital setting.
• Perform CT procedures across multiple body regions for inpatients, outpatients and ED patients.
• Maintain patient safety and integrate with EPIC and PACS workflows.
• Manage a high-volume caseload with ~20 CTs per shift.
• Use EPIC EMR and Philips View PACS; operate GE EVO and Siemens Go Top CT scanners.
• Possible float to Summitview or Yakima locations; no on-call requirements.
• Holiday coverage of every other holiday or 50% during the contract period.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of acute care experience to work in a Level III trauma hospital's CT Scan unit.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years acute care experience required
• BLS and ARRT-CT certification required
• WA state license required if applicable
• Experience with inpatient, outpatient, and ED CT procedures across multiple body regions
• Must be comfortable functioning independently when working nights or weekends
• Peripheral IV starts preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in a 226-bed Level III trauma nonprofit community hospital with 2 CT suites
• Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, and ED cases, primarily adults with some pediatric patients
• Common diagnoses include strokes, extremities, abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, spine, and chest cases, including AB/PEL and CTA studies
• Average caseload of 20 CTs per tech per shift
• 12-hour day shifts on Sunday, Friday, and Saturday from 0500-1730
• Uses EPIC EMR and Philips View PACS system
• Equipment includes GE EVO and Siemens Go Top CT scanners
• May float to MultiCare Imaging locations in Summitview or Yakima, both 5-10 minutes away
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage expectations include every other holiday or 50% of holidays within the contract period
• Scrubs must be any solid color with no graphics, logos, or designs
• First-time travelers will not be accepted unless they have 5+ years of experience
