Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Dual Modality CT/Radiology Tech with 2+ years of combined CT scanning and general radiology experience for a night shift radiology assignment.

This role requires ARRT CT and Radiography certifications, BLS, and an active state license for KY or IN (if applicable).

Qualifications

• ARRT CT and Radiography certifications required.
• BLS certification required.
• State license for KY or IN (can be obtained after offer); license required if applicable.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in both CT and general radiology.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques.
• Familiarity with image quality standards, infection control, and quality control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Radiology department setting performing both CT and general radiographic imaging.
• 3x12 hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• 36 hours per week.
• Verify exam orders and assess appropriateness based on patient data and developmental considerations.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures to ensure optimal image quality.
• Operate imaging and computer equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine need for additional imaging.
• Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Educate patients about procedures in an age-appropriate manner.
• Maintain infection control and quality control standards throughout all procedures.
• May supervise and train students during clinical rotations.
