Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT/Rad Tech for a night shift contract in a trauma level IV teaching hospital. The role supports CT and dual modality CT/DX across ED, inpatient, and outpatient populations. EPIC EMR and a Siemens/GE environment are used, with 12-hour night shifts and a 4-week cycle.

Candidates must have ARRT/BLS and relevant licensure as applicable. Minimum 1 year of core radiology experience is required, with preference for recent work.

Responsibilities

• 12-hour night shifts, 8pm–8am, Thursdays to Saturdays, 36 hours/week.
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays; schedule cycles every 4 weeks.

American Traveler is hiring a CT/Rad Tech Dual Modality for a night shift contract requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS/ARRT certification.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of core experience in specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• BLS and ARRT(R) required for Rad Tech and Dual Modality CT/DX roles
• BLS and ARRT(R)(CT) required for CT Tech role
• License required if applicable
• NC State Licensure not required
• Last 4 of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Responsibilities

• Trauma Level IV, teaching hospital with 182 licensed beds
• CT Scan department averaging 325 patients/day across modalities
• Patient population spans ED, inpatient, and outpatient areas with a variety of diagnoses
• 12-hour night shifts, 8pm-8am, every Thursday/Friday/Saturday, 36 hours/week
• Schedule cycle repeats every 4 weeks
• Weekend rotation and call requirements vary by modality and will be discussed during interview
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Department equipment includes Siemens and GE
• Supported by nursing and transport staff
• No floating required
• High volume department with team accountability for patient-centered care
• Orientation includes online NEO courses plus 3-5 days of departmental orientation depending on modality
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO subject to manager approval
• Black scrubs required
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
