American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist in Nashville for a 13-week weekend-only assignment. The role requires ARRT certification, CT experience, and IV contrast administration, with a focus on trauma and stroke protocols.

The position serves inpatient, outpatient, ED, and trauma patients, with a 06:45–19:15 shift. Candidates must meet licensure, BLS, and primary source verification requirements; weekend hours are required.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification/registration required
• ARRT CT certification preferred or required per facility
• Current BLS certification required
• License if applicable with primary source verification within 30 days
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Experience with routine and contrast-enhanced CT examinations
• Experience with IV contrast administration and reactions
• Knowledge of ALARA principles
• Ability to work independently and prioritize exams based on patient acuity
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, organization, and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Radiology-CT department performing diagnostic CT examinations
• Weekend-only unit
• Serves inpatient, outpatient, ED, and trauma patients
• Shift runs 06:45-19:15
• Performs routine and contrast-enhanced CT exams, CTA, and trauma imaging
• Uses PACS, RIS, and EMR systems
• Patient positioning, protocol selection, and contrast administration for diagnostic CT imaging
• Monitor for contrast reactions and respond to adverse events
• Post-processing, reconstructions, and advanced imaging as needed
• Review studies for technical quality before interpretation
• Communicate with radiologists, nursing, ED staff and physicians
• Recent acute-care CT experience preferred
• ED/trauma CT experience preferred
• Stroke and trauma protocol experience preferred
• Portable or procedural CT experience a plus
• High-acuity and critically ill patient experience preferred
• Local candidates accepted at reduced rate based on distance
• US SSN and US address required

• Monitors patients for contrast reactions and responds appropriately to adverse eventsMonitors patients for contrast reactions and responds appropriately to adverse events
• Performs post-processing, multiplanar reconstructions, and advanced imaging techniques as needed
• Reviews completed studies for technical quality prior to physician interpretation
• Communicates with radiologists, nursing staff, ED staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
• Recent acute-care hospital CT experience preferred
• Emergency department and trauma CT experience preferred
• Experience with stroke and trauma protocols preferred
• Experience with portable or procedural CT examinations a plus
• Experience with high-acuity and critically ill patients preferred
