Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist for a days-based travel assignment requiring ARRT (CT) certification and 1+ year of recent CT experience.

Responsibilities include operating CT equipment for inpatients and outpatients, coordinating with radiologists, and maintaining patient safety and image quality. Remote requirements and travel logistics are managed by the agency.

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification required.
• Minimum 1 year recent CT experience required.
• License required if applicable.
• Graduate of an accredited AMA radiography program.
• Registered with ARRT.
• Proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures including head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, and extremities.
• Knowledge of CT system processing, contrast media studies, and cross-sectional anatomy.
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• CT Scanner department setting serving inpatients and outpatients.
• Days shift, Saturday/Sunday/Monday, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
• Call required one day per week.
• No floating required.
• Patient ratio of approximately 3 scans per hour per tech.
• 2 beds in the unit.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• Perform basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services.
• Perform biopsy/drainage procedures under CT guidance.
• Work under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols.
• Maximum RTO request of less than 1 week.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible.
