Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift in McCall, Idaho. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of CT experience, ARRT CT and Radiology certifications, and BLS; a license may be required.

X-ray experience is preferred. Night shifts are 12 hours with a 7-7 cycle and travel housing support is offered. Includes off-site radiology reads, no calls, and a collaborative team environment while serving acute care imaging.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years CT experience required.
• X-ray experience preferred.
• ARRT CT and Radiology certifications required.
• BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Must not require a second interview per facility policy.
• Valid driver's license required for consideration.
• Two professional references: one supervisor (last 12 months) and one peer/supervisor (last 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Acute care imaging department with 1 X-ray room, 1 portable X-ray unit, and 1 CT scanner.
• Performs ortho X-rays, some fluoroscopy, and CT studies including abdomen/pelvis, cardiac scoring, trauma, and code stroke protocols.
• Average 24 X-ray and 24 CT studies per day.
• Uses Epic EMR and McKesson PACS systems.
• Equipment includes Carestream X-ray and Toshiba CT scanners.
• 12-hour night shifts on a 7-7 schedule; 6 shifts on/8 shifts off.
• Works every other weekend and holidays if they fall during rotation.
• Covers both X-ray and CT, but no other floating required.
• No radiology supervisor or lead tech on shift; manager is always available.
• Radiologists are in-house weekday daytime hours; after-hours reads go to outside groups.
• No call or standby requirements.
• No IV starts required during night shift.
• Operates independently performing CT and X-ray studies without onsite radiology supervisor support.
• Department sees occasional major trauma; higher volumes in winter/summer.
• Collaborative, laid-back team with supportive ER physicians.
• Scrubs are provided.
• Includes a 2-week department-specific orientation on day shift before nights.
• Many travelers extend assignments here; first-time travelers considered.

• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• No self-scheduling, block scheduling, or special scheduling requests are accommodated
• Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Located in a resort town offering outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and lake access
• Facility offers assistance in finding affordable housing due to high local housing costs
