Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a dual-modality CT/X-Ray Technologist for a mobile emergency response unit in Florida. The position requires ARRT CT(R) certification and a minimum of two years in CT and radiology, plus BLS certification and applicable Florida licensure.

You will operate Canon CT scanners and Epic Radiant EMR, serve patients of all ages, and work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with a 36-hour week and every-other weekend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiology program; HS diploma required.
• ARRT (CT)(R) certification required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical radiology and CT experience.
• BL S certification; Florida DOH license if applicable; other certs accepted.

Responsibilities

• Mobile imaging unit deployed to field emergencies.
• CT section performs dual-modality X-ray and CT imaging.
• Service patients of all ages.
• Operate Canon CT scanners (preferred) and Epic Radiant EMR.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a dual-modality CT/X-Ray Technologist for a mobile emergency response unit requiring ARRT (CT)(R) certification and 2+ years of CT and radiology experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Radiology program
• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• ARRT (CT)(R) certification required at time of consideration
• Florida State DOH license required if applicable
• Will accept NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ARDMS certifications in addition to ARRT
• Minimum 2 years of clinical radiology experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist required
• Must maintain competency in at least two imaging modalities
• Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices
• Ability to clearly communicate exams and procedures to patients
• Proficient with computer software and basic troubleshooting
• Familiarity with imaging and patient care equipment
• At least one reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Mobile imaging unit that deploys to the field for emergencies

• No local candidates accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies
• Unit Manager conducts candidate interviews
• No RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 8 RTO days allowed for the 13-week contract
• Florida ACHA licensure processing may take up to 14 business days from receipt
