Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience required
• Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
• ARRT registered CT Technologist required
• OBMI certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency in venipuncture required
• Must be able to perform skills check covering head, spine, chest, abdominal and pelvis anatomy and safe contrast usage

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Imaging department performing CT and X-ray procedures
• Role is split 50/50 between Canon CT scanner and general radiography
• Must be willing to float to perform X-rays up to half the time
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday
• Performs radiographic and CT procedures to produce diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
• Prepares and positions patients, selects appropriate imaging protocols, and evaluates image quality
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications as prescribed, in accordance with state statute and institutional policy
• Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and interventional radiography procedures
• Maintains archival storage of digitized imaging data and observes universal precautions
• Provides patient education and ensures appropriate patient care throughout procedures
• CRASE training preferred, and required if the assignment extends beyond 6 months
• Supports hospital mission, values, and DNV program education requirements as applicable
