Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for an acute care Radiology department in California. This role requires 3–5 years of radiology experience, ARRT (R) and CT certifications, and a California CRT license with Fluoroscopy permit.

BLS is required, with additional license verification as applicable. The technologist will operate CT and X-ray equipment, manage portable imaging, and support a 24/7 Radiology/Pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate acute care Radiology/CT unit with CT, X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, and portable imaging.
• Perform approximately 80 combined CT and X-Ray procedures per day.
• Work day shifts 0530–1600 with required call coverage (30-minute response).
• Fluoroscopy, CT, X-ray, and C-arm duties; may float to portable CXR.
• Collaborate with onsite radiologist and 24/7 Radiology and Pharmacy services.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care Radiology department requiring 3-5 years of experience and ARRT (R, CT) certification.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Radiology required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
• California CRT license with Fluoroscopy permit required
• License required if applicable
• Copy of driver's license required to validate legal name at submission
• Two supervisor or peer references required, one from within the last 12 months and one from within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Acute care Radiology/CT unit with CT, X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, and portable imaging services
• Equipment includes 1 Siemens 64-slice CT, 1 Siemens 128-slice CT, 1 Radiology Fluoro unit, 1 Rad unit, 3 portables, and 4 C-arms
• Approximately 80 combined CT and X-Ray procedures performed per day
• Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts from 0530-1600
• Required call coverage with a 30-minute response time
• Uses Cerner EMR
• May float to perform portable CXR anywhere in the facility, as well as CT, C-arm, X-ray, and Fluoro duties
• Work alongside an onsite radiologist available 7 days a week from approximately 0800-1700, with teleradiologist coverage during off hours
• Lead technologist available on day and swing shifts for support
• Radiology and Pharmacy services available 24/7
• 3-day floor-specific orientation provided
• Rotates holiday coverage with core staff
• Teal scrubs required; radiation badge required and travelers must provide their own
• Patient transportation services available as a department resource
• Candidates must demonstrate strong teamwork and a positive attitude
• Candidates previously employed directly (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year are not eligible; PRN employment through outside staffing firms will be considered
