Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a day-shift travel contract in Arlington Heights, IL. ARRT(CT) certification and active state licensure are required, with at least 1 year of GE and Siemens scanner experience.

You will work 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with 40 hours one week and 36 the next, plus opportunities for overtime. On-site EKG and pre-placement steps apply, and prior travel experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification required.
• Active state license required, if applicable.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Minimum 1 year experience on GE and Siemens scanners.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Prior travel assignment required, with at least 1 completed assignment.
• Date of birth required for consideration.
• Two professional references required, with 1 from the most recent travel assignment.
• Must complete Relias EKG test with 80% or higher prior to consideration.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans in a busy radiology department, primarily supporting the ER.
• Day shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 8-hour shifts.
• Schedule alternates between 40 hours one week and 36 hours the next, with ability to pick up extra shifts to reach 40 hours each week.
• Works every other weekend.
• Floats as needed.
• Holiday coverage required as needed.
• 16 hours of non-billable orientation required.
• On Day 1, an on-site EKG test (pass/fail) is administered; a study book is provided in advance; failure results in contract termination.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role.
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have a 12-month break in service to be considered as a travel candidate.
• RTO maximum of 7 days for 13-week contractsMust work at least 1-2 holidays during the contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• Local radius of 50 miles applies.
• Facility conducts a brief interview, approximately 10-15 minutes, prior to placement.
