Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment and perform CT, radiography, and fluoroscopy for patients of all ages. The role requires ARRT CT, advanced CT certification, BLS, and state licenses where applicable. The position involves patient care, image reformats, PACS transfers, and routine equipment maintenance.

Open travel-rate options exist; local candidates welcome. Two years CT experience preferred, and vaccination requirements apply.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration is required for CT imaging.
• Advanced CT certification is required for OR and HI settings.
• BLS certification is required for patient care.
• Licensing as RT and fluoroscopy license where applicable may be required by state law.
• Venipuncture certification is required for contrast administration if applicable.
• Minimum two years of CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT imaging along with general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures
• Cares for patients across age groups
• Produces reformatted sagittal and coronal images
• Uses PACS and teleradiology to transfer images
• Works a day shift with multiple scheduling options
• Assesses and plans patient care through imaging process
• Maintains records and billing information
• Ensures HIPAA compliance for patient data
• Performs routine equipment maintenance and manages supplies
• Performs vaccinations as a condition of employment as required
• Local candidates accepted at travel rate with no radius restriction
• Avoids candidates with >5 days off requested or prior licensure issues
• Maintains image integrity and confidentiality

Requirements

• ARRT registration as R.T.(R)(CT) or R.T.(R) required
• Advanced certification in CT modality required in OR and HI
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable, including state RT license where applicable
• Fluoroscopy license required if operating fluoroscopy equipment, per state requirements
• Venipuncture certification required if administering contrast materials, per state requirements
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
• Minimum two years of experience in specialty required, with recent experience within the last three months

Responsibilities

• Performs CT imaging along with general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures
• Cares for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatric populations
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation
• Uses PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to appropriate locations
• Day shift options include 7am-5:30pm, 8am-6:30pm, or 9am-7:30pm
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care throughout the imaging process
• Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information
• Ensures integrity of patient images and data in compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines
• Performs routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and manages supply inventory
• Required vaccinations are a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
• Local candidates accepted at travel rate with no radius restriction
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
• Candidates with a prior licensure issue will not be considered
