Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical First Assist for an acute care OR unit in Minnesota, requiring 3+ years CST experience and expertise in general and orthopedic total joint procedures. NP exposure includes trauma and plastics; travel flexibility a plus.

Shifts are 0645–1515, with on-call and weekend rotations; scrub and assist roles may alternate. Cerner EMR is used; travelers must reside within 100 miles of the facility.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified CSFA (NBSTSA) with active credential.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 3 years CST experience required
• Experience in general surgery and orthopedic total joints required
• Experience in Trauma Level 3/4 and/or Critical Access Hospitals preferred

Responsibilities

• Acute care OR with 7 surgical suites.
• Average of 5-25 cases per day.
• Procedures include general, orthopedic, plastics, podiatry, eye, and OB/GYN/women's health (non-cancer).
• Cerner EMR used; 0645-1515 shifts, 5 days/week.
• On-call rotations: weeknights 1-2x, weekends 1-2x/month; 30 min call response.
