Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a busy academic Level 1 trauma center operating room, offering exposure to general, laparoscopic, robotic, ortho and neuro procedures. The role requires at least 2 years of experience, CST credentials, and Massachusetts licensure compliance.

Responsibilities include 3x12-hour day shifts with call, plus weekend rotation, in a high-volume OR supported by Epic EMR. Travel experience and flexibility are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• BLS certification required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential via NBSTSA
• License required if applicable
• Must meet Massachusetts state requirements for surgical technologists, including NBSTSA/NCCT certification or military program or prior employment by 7/1/2013

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital OR setting within an academic facility
• 23-room OR with 50-70 cases per day
• Case types include general, lap, robotic, ortho, and neuro surgeries
• Eyes/ENT experience considered a bonus
• 3x12-hour day shifts per week plus call
• Weekend and call rotation approximately once per month with additional 8-hour weekday shifts on rotation
• Call assignments may include circulating cardiac or eye cases
• Epic EMR used
• Support a high-volume academic OR handling a broad range of surgical specialties including trauma cases
• Participate in call rotation on par with permanent staff
• Travel experience preferred
• Call responsibilities may include circulating duties for cardiac or eye cases depending on center assignment
