American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a long‑term care position in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)/Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) in Hawaii. Requires Hawaii license, BLS, and at least 2 years of SNF/ICF experience.

Day shifts with possible weekend work and occasional cross‑facility coverage. EMR experience with Net Health Rehab Optima and Epic is used. Employee benefits include housing allowance, licensure reimbursement, and travel stipends.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• State of Hawaii license in good standing to practice in Hawaii.

Responsabilités

• Provide long-term care rehabilitation in SNF/ICF settings.
• Day shift with 5-day workweek and likely one weekend day.
• Possibility of floating to other units based on census and staffing needs.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress per licensure and policy.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with supervising therapist and medical team.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to maximize function and independence.
• Educate residents and families on treatment plans and progress.
• Supervise therapy assistants when applicable.
• Attend holiday coverage as required per facility operations.

American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a long-term care position in a Skilled Nursing/Intermediate Care Facility, requiring 2 years of SNF/ICF experience.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• Current State of Hawaii license in good standing appropriate to discipline required by start of assignment (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in SNF/ICF setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and/or Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) setting providing long-term care rehabilitation services
• Day shift with variable scheduling providing 7 days per week departmental coverage on a 5-day work week
• Schedule generally includes 5 days per week but likely includes one weekend day
• Possible floating to other units or facilities based on census and staffing needs
• Utilizes Net Health Rehab Optima and Epic EMR systems
• Provide evaluations, reassessments, treatments, and other clinical services consistent with licensure and scope of practice
• Develop and carry out individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising therapist, physician, and interdisciplinary team
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to maximize function, independence, mobility, and quality of life
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and progress
• Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation per facility, state, federal, and payer requirements
• May supervise therapy assistants when applicable to role
• Must be available to work Hawaii State and Federal holidays as necessary based on facility operations
• Orientation provided covering rehabilitation department workflows and EMR documentation systems
• Must arrive the Thursday before start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday
