Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel's U.S. Military and Government team is seeking a Travel Consultant to provide outstanding service to defense and government travelers before, during, and after their trips.

You will create travel arrangements (air, hotel, car, rail), ensure reservations meet client standards, and offer informed recommendations to deliver an exceptional travel experience. This onsite role at Fort Liberty, NC requires English fluency and a willingness to learn and grow

Qualifications

• English fluent – written and spoken.
• 2nd language a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic MS Office.
• A genuine passion for high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Create and complete travel arrangements (air, hotel, car, rail)
• Ensure reservations are built according to client standards and preferences
• Act as a trusted advisor by offering informed and insightful recommendations that provide the best travel experience
• Handle basic and moderately complex bookings with potentially non-standard and multi-destinations, ticket exchanges, and complex fares
• Raise most complex bookings to more experienced staff
• Assignments include both routine and non-routine work
