Job summary

Leidos seeks a Travel Construction Manager (Civil Engineer) to oversee large-scale construction for FAA ESA under NISC IV. You will coordinate with Project Engineers, CORs, and contractors to assure scope, schedule, and quality across eastern facilities and the Caribbean.

This role requires 100% travel (including weekends), located in the eastern United States, with assignments lasting weeks to months. ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree and 10+ years’ construction experience are required;

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years' experience in construction of commercial, industrial, or government facilities.
• Knowledge of construction methods, plans/specifications, materials, and codes.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance and travel including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale construction projects and field operations, serving as the primary contact for contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Ensure contractor compliance with safety policies, standards, and contract requirements through field oversight and QA.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, track deviations, and resolve technical and construction challenges across multiple disciplines.
• Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and work plans; support coordination and field-driven design adjustments.
• Support inspections, commissioning, and project closeout; track punch lists.
• Maintain accurate reports and as-built documentation; communicate status and risks to stakeholders.
