Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Travel Construction Manager (Civil Engineer) to support FAA ESA under NISC IV. You will provide on-site construction monitoring, coordination with Project Engineers, and QA to ensure work aligns with plans, schedule, and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 100% travel (including weekends) across the eastern US and Caribbean. A BS in Civil Engineering with 10+ years of construction experience is essential; PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited) with 10+ years of construction experience in commercial, industrial, or government facilities.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, plans/specifications, building materials, and applicable codes.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, engineers, and government stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and construction document review tools (Bluebeam or similar).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and travel 100% (including weekends).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale construction projects and field operations; act as primary contact for contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Ensure contractor compliance with safety policies, standards, and contract requirements via field oversight and QA.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, track deviations, resolve technical and construction challenges across multiple disciplines.
• Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and work plans; support coordination and field-driven design adjustments.
• Support inspections, commissioning, and project closeout, including punch list tracking and resolution.
• Maintain accurate reports, as-built documentation, and communicate status to stakeholders.
