Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in long-term care settings. You will perform daily living activities, monitor vitals, and assist with mobility under RN supervision.

Requires CNA certification and either current certification or enrollment; high school diploma or GED preferred; 18+ years old; travel within a 75-mile radius to support multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification.
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and assisting with meals.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the RN.
• Assist residents with transfers, mobility, range of motion and daily living activities.
• Support nursing staff and participate in infection prevention and use of PPE.
