Job summary

Sanford Health in the United States is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in long-term care settings under RN supervision. Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, recording vital signs, and psychosocial support.
• Assists residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques; provides range of motion and passive exercises.
• Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining to create a positive dining experience.
• Assists residents with meals and fluids; supports hydration and supplements as appropriate.
• Aids providers and nursing staff with procedures as needed; documents care interactions and outcomes.
• Communicates changing resident conditions and care concerns to the charge nurse.
• Collects non-invasive specimens and vital signs as required.
• Provides housekeeping and laundry services to keep living areas clean and functional.
• Supports wellness and recreational programs; encourages resident participation.
