Job summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) at Good Samaritan Society provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision. You will administer prescribed medications, document care, and support nutrition, hygiene, and activity needs in a compassionate, Christian environment.

Travel may be required to support multiple locations within a 75-mile radius of your permanent address; the role supports shift variety and PRN scheduling with a minimum monthly hours requirement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in healthcare.
• State CMA/CNA certification required or obtainable within 120 days.
• Annual continuing education credits as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Deliver age-appropriate care per plan of care and assist with basic health needs.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care, medication outcomes, and resident condition changes.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, ROM, and range of motion exercises.
• Support dining activities and assist with meals, hydration, and snacks.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry to maintain a clean living area.
