Job summary

Good Samaritan in Windom, MN is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. Duties include observing residents, administering prescribed medications as delegated, taking vital signs, and following the plan of care.

This PRN position requires 3 months LTC experience, minimum age 18, and travel within 75 miles of the permanent address.

Qualifications

• 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must complete state-required competency testing and continuing education credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care given and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and mobility as needed.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and wellness activities.
• Support housekeeping and laundry needs to maintain clean living spaces.
