Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Columbia, South Carolina. The role supports diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab, including patient prep, imaging, and post-procedure care.
Required are 1 year of cath lab experience, BLS, ACLS, and ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification. Travel benefits and a dedicated clinical team are provided.
Qualifications
- One year’s recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization and related interventional procedures
- Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents, and operating fluoroscopy and monitoring equipment
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment and monitoring systems, ensuring proper functionality
- Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup, maintaining infection control standards
- Maintain documentation including patient records and equipment logs
- Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and hospital policies
