Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in West Columbia, SC. The role involves preparing patients, supporting interventional cardiovascular procedures, and maintaining imaging and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of Cath Lab experience, current BLS/ACLS, and ARRT/RCES/RCIS certifications. Travel benefits and a supportive clinical team are provided.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification.
• Preferred Radiologic Tech license in compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization and related procedures.
• Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents; operate fluoroscopy and monitoring equipment.
• Operate imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
• Scrub in and maintain sterile field setup; adhere to infection control and procedural protocols.
• Perform sheath removal and hemostasis as directed; ensure patient safety and documentation.
• Maintain accurate patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs.
• Assist with inventory management and stocking of supplies and medications.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols; use lead aprons, shields, and dosimeters.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
