Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an EP Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility, requiring Epic proficiency and 2+ years of experience.

The position involves a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating Saturday call, 10-hour days, and use of the Epic EMR. Local candidates within 50 miles may receive a local rate, with benefits including housing allowances and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Active IL license or initiation of the licensure process; license required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Level 1 trauma acute care setting within the Electrophysiology Lab.
• Unit staffed with 11 employees, including 4 electrophysiologists, 5 techs, and 6 RNs.
• Currently operating 2 procedure rooms with a department volume of 5-10 procedures per day.
• Monday through Friday department schedule with rotating Saturday call (8am-1pm).
• 10-hour day shifts with call requirements.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Assist physicians with arteriograms and specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique for patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Prepare examination areas, position patients, and operate complex radiology equipment according to established techniques.
• Assist physicians during procedures by passing materials and taking exposures as directed.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care.
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation required.
• Cancellation policy allows up to 12 hours per 13-week assignment without penalty.
• Local candidates accepted; local rate applies to clinicians with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility.
