Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Electrophysiology Technologist for a 9-room EP lab with two active suites that perform ablations, implants and LAA closures. The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience, BLS/ACLS and RCIS/RCES certifications, and applicable licensure.

You may travel between Cone Health campuses, with a high-performing, multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient outcomes. The position features 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) with anticipated housing allowances and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, and AICD/pacemaker procedures.
• Epic EMR experience is required.
• Licensure, RCIS and RCES certifications are required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support a 9-room cardiac cath/EP lab with 2 active EP suites for ablations, implants and LAA closures.
• Collaborate with a high-level multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
• Perform cardiac ablations, implants and LAA closures; assist with mapping and monitoring.
• Set up equipment, place EKG leads, prep access sites and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Scrub to maintain sterile field and/or serve as room circulator as needed.
• Float to other Cone Health campuses as required by scheduling.
• Submit RTO requests with applications; travel considerations and housing allowances apply.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• RCIS and RCES certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, insertion/programming of AICDs, LAA closure, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table studies required
• Experience with cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and conduction studies preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) preferred
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG competency exam during compliance with up to two attempts allowed
• Current driver's license required to verify address

Responsibilities

• 9-room cardiac cath/EP lab with 2 very active EP suites
• High-level multidisciplinary team focused on excellent patient outcomes
• Procedures performed include cardiac ablations, implants, and left atrial appendage (LAA) closures
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Floating required as needed, including to other Cone Health campuses
• Uses fluoroscopy equipment (Philips, Siemens) and ultrasound
• Responsibilities include equipment set up, EKG lead placement, access site prep, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Role may include scrubbing to maintain sterile field and serving as room circulator
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, with no local rates offered
• RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
