Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Electrophysiology Technologist with at least 1 year of EP experience for a day shift in a dedicated EP Lab. Responsibilities include EP studies, arrhythmia induction, mapping, ablation, cardioversion, AICD and pacemaker procedures, and related EP lab tasks.

The role offers 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, in a travel-friendly environment with housing and licensure support. ACLS/BLS required; RCES preferred; EPIC experience valued.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• CCI RCES certification preferred; license if applicable.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an Electrophysiology Technologist with at least 1 year of EP experience for a day shift position in a dedicated EP Lab.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an EP Technologist
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
• CCI RCES certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Proficient in EKG lead placement, access site prep, sterile field maintenance, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Skilled in equipment setup, maintenance, and inventory management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and infection control/sterile technique

Responsibilities

• Work in a dedicated Electrophysiology (EP) Lab performing special procedures
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Responsibilities include EP studies, arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping and ablation, cardioversion, conduction studies, AICD insertion/programming, LAA closure, and pacemaker insertion
• Also performs cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac implant closure devices, hemodynamic monitoring, laser-assisted procedures, temporary pacemaker placement, and Watchman procedures
• Uses fluoroscopy, GE Innova IGS, Philips, Siemens, ultrasound, and PACS equipment
• May float to like units within scope based on facility needs with brief orientation provided
• Unit accepts first-time travelers with extensive EP experience
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Maximum of 4 days RTO can be auto-approved at time of submission
• No RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
