Job summary

American Traveler seeks an EP Lab Technologist with 2+ years of electrophysiology experience and a history of travel assignments. The role involves EP studies, mapping, ablations, and device implants, using GE Healthcare charting and advanced mapping systems.

Candidates must hold RCES or RCIS, ACLS, and a license where required, provide supervisory references, and be prepared for a 3x12 schedule. Travel assignments are eligible; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a lower rate.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Electrophysiology Lab experience required within the last 7 years
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment prior
• RCES or RCIS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• GE Healthcare charting system experience required
• License required if applicable
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years
• Skills in 3D imaging, vascular closure systems, EKG lead placement, arrhythmia recognition, and sterile technique
• Experience with cardiac mapping, ablation, cardioversion, and pacemaker/AICD insertion

Responsibilities

• Electrophysiology Lab setting
• 3x12 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• No call required
• Uses GE Healthcare charting system
• Special procedures include ablations (pulse field, cryo, and RF for SVT, aflutter, A-fib, VT), implants, cardioversions, Micra, and lead extractions
• Special equipment includes Carto and Ensite mapping systems and Affera PFA
• Responsibilities include EP studies, arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, conduction studies, and device insertion/programming
• Scrubs provided
• Flu vaccine required
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Candidates must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Local candidates accepted within 60 miles at a lower rate
• Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
