American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 1+ year of experience to support Cardiac, Vascular, and Interventional Radiology labs in a split lab setting in Conyers, GA.

The role features 4x10 hour days (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) with call 9–10 days per month. First-time travelers and locals are welcome, with comprehensive benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required.
• RN license GA or compact license at consideration.
• Experience with venous access and central line care.
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures and PCI/PTCA.
• Experience with interventional radiology procedures.
• Proficient in EKG lead placement and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ability to maintain sterile field and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Split lab rotating between Cardiac, Vascular, and Interventional Radiology.
• Fulfill day shift schedule 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Call required 9–10 days per month, including weekends.
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, vascular, and IR procedures.
• Handle equipment setup, room circulation, scrubbing, and patient monitoring.

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist to support a split lab rotating between Cardiac, Vascular, and Interventional Radiology with at least 1 year of experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT(R) or CCI RCIS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Skilled in venous access, central line and PICC line care and maintenance
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, hemodynamic monitoring, and pacemaker insertion
• Experience with interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and biopsy procedures
• Experience with vascular studies including carotid stenting, dialysis graft interventions, and endovascular interventions
• Experience with electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablation, cardioversion, and AICD/pacemaker insertion and programming
• Knowledge of infection control, sterile technique, and isolation precautions/PPE

Responsibilities

• Split lab setting rotating between Cardiac, Vascular, and Interventional Radiology
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call required 9 to 10 days per month, including weekends
• May float within facility/scope of practice as needed
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Perform procedural responsibilities including equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, and sterile field maintenance as room circulator or scrub
• Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and respond using rapid response/code team protocols
• One major holiday worked if it falls during the assignment, two worked if two fall during the assignment, or two of three worked if three fall during the assignment
• Maximum of 7 RTO days per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission
• No RTO requests permitted during orientation week
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Returning staff must be away from all facilities within the health system for a full year before applying as a traveler
• Travelers who cancel or are released must complete one assignment outside the health system before reapplying
