American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a day shift assignment in Maryland. Requires 2+ years of cath lab experience and ARRT R or RCIS certification.

IR/EP experience and ACLS/BLS are required; MD license or compact license is also required. Responsibilities include performing duties in the cardiac Cath Lab and EP lab, floating to IR/EP as needed, and supporting 3x12 hour shifts from early morning to evening.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience within the last 7 years.
• IR and EP experience preferred.
• ARRT R or RCIS certification required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• MD license or compact license required.
• Travel assignments with positive references preferred.
• Experience in cardiac procedures (stent, IABP, catheterization, PCI/PTCA).

Responsabilités

• Cover diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab and EP lab work settings.
• Float to IR and EP labs as needed.
• 3x12 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM.
• On-call 6-8 shifts every 6 weeks; one weekend on-call per schedule.
• Weekend coverage as needed; holiday coverage as needed.
• Maintain sterile field and monitor patients during procedures.
• Flu vaccine required for all employees at this facility.

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of Cath Lab experience for a day-shift role requiring ARRT(R) or CCI RCIS certification and MD licensure.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience within the last 7 years required, with Cath Lab experience required and IR/EP experience preferred
• ARRT(R) or CCI RCIS certification required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• MD license or compact license required (license required if applicable)
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, and IABP placement/removal
• Experience with PA line insertion required
• Experience performing procedural responsibilities including room circulating and maintaining a sterile field
• Must have at least one prior travel assignment with positive references on file

Responsibilities

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Float coverage to IR and EP labs required as needed
• 3x12 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call requirement of 6-8 shifts per 6-week schedule, including 1 weekend on-call per schedule
• Every other weekend required as needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including stent placement, PCI, PTCA, and heart catheterization
• Experience in IR and EP procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, cardiac ablation, and pacemaker insertion is preferred
• May support additional procedures including vascular studies, neurological interventions, and genitourinary procedures depending on unit needs
• Flu vaccine required
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• RTO limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no time off permitted during the first two weeks
• Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
