Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and RCIS, ARRT, or RTR certification for a community hospital cardiac cath lab setting. This travel assignment features 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM), 1:1 patient ratio, and on-call requirements.

You will handle diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, and related invasive procedures with a focus on patient monitoring and sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience; 3 years if RTR without RCIS.
• ACLS, BLS, and RCIS/ARRT/RTR certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I preferred.
• Experience with PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, Impella, IABP, ECMO, pacemaker insertion.
• Skilled in EKG lead placement, hemodynamic monitoring, arrhythmia recognition, sterile field maintenance.
• Able to perform room circulator and scrub duties.

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab within a community hospital setting.
• 1:1 patient ratio with adult and pediatric/neonatal catheterization cases.
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Every other weekend required; holiday coverage as scheduled.
• On-call required 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month.
• Must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions.
• Responsibilities include monitoring, EKG lead placement, arrhythmia recognition, and sterile field maintenance.
• Performs wide range of cardiac cath lab procedures including stent placements, closures, and valve replacements.
• Works with isolation precautions, PPE, and rapid response teams.
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of strong Cath Lab experience; local candidates accepted at reduced local traveler rate.
