Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a cardiac cath lab with at least 1 year of experience and EPIC charting proficiency.

Position requires BLS/ACLS, NC/Compact license if applicable, and strong skills in venous access, sterile technique, and EP procedures. Day shift with on-call and travel considerations described in detail in the posting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Cath Lab/EP experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• EPIC charting proficiency required.
• NC license/compact license if applicable.
• Venous access, vascular closure, EKG lead placement, sterile technique.
• Experience with EP procedures (mapping, ablation, pacemaker) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in diagnostic/interventional cardiac cath lab, EP lab, and interventional radiology.
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• Day shift 8:00–4:30, Monday–Friday.
• On-call 4:30–5:00.
• Procedures: PCI, EP studies, ablation, mapping, pacemaker insertion, IABP/Impella, vascular closure.
• Equipment: fluoroscopy, GE Innova IGS, Philips, ultrasound, PACS.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Maintain sterile fields, room circulation, scrub in for procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures; recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Maintain and stock procedural equipment.
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule.
• Flu vaccine required Oct 31–Mar 31; no exemptions.
• First-time travelers not considered.
• Local candidates within 75 miles at reduced rate.
• Disclose prior employment at this health system; not in past 6 months.
• RTO limited to 5-7 days at consideration.

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a cardiac catheterization lab requiring at least 1 year of experience and EPIC charting proficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab/EP experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Compact or NC license required if applicable
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system required
• Skilled in venous access, vascular closure systems, EKG lead placement, and sterile technique
• Experience with EP procedures such as cardiac mapping, ablation, and pacemaker insertion preferred
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, EP lab, and interventional radiology setting
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call requirement from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM
• Procedures include diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, EP studies, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, pacemaker insertion, IABP and Impella placement, and vascular closure
• Equipment used includes fluoroscopy, GE Innova IGS, Philips systems, ultrasound, and PACS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Responsibilities include equipment setup, room circulating, scrubbing in for procedures, and maintaining sterile fields
• Duties include monitoring patients during procedures and recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias
• Maintains and stocks procedural equipment and supplies
