Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience and RCIS certification or CVIS training for a teaching hospital assignment.

The role includes day/evening shifts, on-call every third weekend with 30 minutes to respond, and requires BLS/ACLS. You will work with PACS systems and Philips/Siemens lab equipment, performing setup and sterile-field duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Cardiovascular Technologist experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
• RCIS certification or CVIS training required.
• BLS and ACLS required (AHA only).
• Preferred: RCIS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting including diagnostic and interventional labs and EP lab.
• Shifts; day/evening; 8 or 10 hour shifts; on-call every third weekend with 30 minute response.
• Use PACS system and Philips/Siemens equipment; setup and sterile field maintenance.
• Assist with equipment prep, EKG leads, access site prep, and room circulation.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience and RCIS certification or CVIS training for a teaching hospital assignment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years Cardiovascular Technologist experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab required
• Graduate of a CVIS training program or current RCIS certification required
• 1 year Cath Lab, EP, or Interventional Radiology experience or CVT apprenticeship may substitute for education requirement
• BLS and ACLS required (AHA only)
• RCIS certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Must pass facility telemetry exam prior to starting assignment
• Skilled in procedures such as diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Impella, IABP, and vascular closure systems

Responsibilities

• Works in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting, including diagnostic and interventional cath lab and EP lab
• Day/Evening shifts, 8 or 10 hour shifts available
• Every third weekend on call with 30 minute response time required
• Floating required as needed
• Uses PACS system and Philips/Siemens cath lab equipment
• Responsibilities include equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, sterile field maintenance, and room circulator duties
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and support rapid response/code teams
• Maintain and stock cath lab equipment and supplies
• Must pass a pass/fail telemetry exam with strict scoring criteria prior to starting, allowing up to two attempts before additional review is required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have high-acuity cath lab experience
• All references must be removed prior to consideration
