American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in Eureka, CA. Requires 2+ years of Cath Lab/EP experience and ARRT (R), BLS, ACLS, and Fluoro Permit certifications.

On-call, 4x10 hour days, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, no weekend requirement. The role includes procedures in diagnostic/interventional cardiology and pacemaker insertions, with Epic EMR usage and 30 hours orientation provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience required.
• ARRT(R), BLS, ACLS certifications required.
• Fluoro Permit required (license if applicable).
• RCIS preferred; RCIS with 5+ years experience acceptable if not substituting ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital with 150 staffed beds.
• Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab setting.
• Daily caseload of 8-12 cases.
• Perform coronary and peripheral vascular diagnostic/interventional procedures; pacemaker insertions.
• Maintain equipment, inventory and supplies.
• On-call requirement; no weekend work; 4x10 hour day shifts 6:30 AM–5:00 PM.

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT, BLS, ACLS, and Fluoro Permit certifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab/EP required
• ARRT (R), BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• Fluoro Permit required (license required if applicable); candidates with a pending Fluoro Permit application will be considered
• CCI RCIS certification preferred; RCIS accepted with 5+ years experience but not in place of ARRT
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in procedural responsibilities including equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, and accurate monitoring
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, PCI, PTCA, permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion, and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• Experience with EP studies including cardioversion and AICD/pacemaker insertion preferred
• Experience with vascular, peripheral, and interventional radiology procedures preferred

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital with 150 staffed beds

• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius, at a lower bill rate
• Scrubs provided for Cath Lab role
• RTO must be approved at time of submission, with limited flexibility once the assignment begins
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
• May be expected to float between sister facilities within the same health system
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
• Free parking available on the first day, with further parking details provided during orientation
