Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a STEMI and stroke receiving center in a beachside hospital. This role requires acute care Cath Lab experience and current BLS/ACLS/ARRT credentials with RCIS accepted and a compact state license in hand.

Responsibilities include assisting in a variety of interventional procedures, Epic charting, and maintaining a sterile field. Day shift is 4x10s, with on-call shifts; travel options available.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ARRT (RCIS accepted) and Fluoro Permit required
• Compact state license in hand at time of consideration; license if applicable
• Community hospital experience required

Responsibilities

• Acute care STEMI and Stroke center with 4 labs
• Support cardiac, EP, VTE thrombectomy, interventional neuro and IR procedures
• Procedures include TAVR/TMVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, diagnostic and interventional cardiology/neuro/IR
• Uses Epic charting system
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, Mon–Fri
• On-call: weekdays 1730–0700 and weekends/holidays 0700–0700, 10–14 shifts in 42 days
• Float between specialties and sister facilities as needed
• Procedural support, equipment setup, monitoring, and stocking
• Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
• First-time travelers accepted; former staff must wait 3 months to return as traveler and be outside 50 miles
• Disclosure of any Providence facility history required
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year in last 3 years
• RTO must be submitted at consideration; minimal RTO preferred
• Commitment to 3 of 5 major holidays
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius may have lower bill rate
• Facility is beachside acute care hospital with 266 staffed beds

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in Cath Lab required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT (RCIS accepted), Fluoro Permit
• Compact state license required and must be in hand at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Community hospital experience required
• Stroke or IR experience preferred; EP/structural heart experience not required
• Skills in EKG lead placement, access site prep, room circulation, sterile field maintenance
• Experience with angioplasty, vascular studies, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac cath lab procedures preferred

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital serving as a STEMI and Stroke receiving center with 4 labs
• Supports cardiac, EP, VTE thrombectomy, interventional neuro, and interventional radiology procedures
• Procedures include TAVR/TMVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, diagnostic and interventional cardiology, diagnostic and interventional neuro, and IR
• Uses Epic charting system
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call required weekdays 1730-0700 and weekends/holidays 0700-0700, with 10-14 call shifts within a 42 day schedule
• Requires floating between specialties within the lab and potentially between sister facilities
• Responsibilities include procedural support, equipment setup, accurate monitoring, and stocking supplies
• Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
• First-time travelers accepted
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not be within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as permanent, travel, or per-diem staff
• 2 supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; minimal RTO preferred to avoid delays
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
• Located in a beachside acute care hospital with 266 staffed beds
