Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a PCU travel assignment in Waco, Texas. This 13-week travel role requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts. Start date 10/12/2026. 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred and ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications are requested.

As a PCU RN, you will monitor cardiac patients, manage medications and IVs, and respond to changes in patient condition. Join TotalMed RN for the opportunity to travel and provide high-level care.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS required.
• NIH certification noted in listing.
• 3 years of clinical experience in acute care or PCU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
