Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. seeks an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) in Las Vegas, NV to fit and train patients with a wearable defibrillator.

You will act as the local patient care representative, coordinating with prescribers and caregivers to ensure accurate fittings and documentation. The role requires clinical or engineering background, 1 year of paid patient care experience, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not as a family caregiver)
• Clinical or engineering background such as nurses, cardiac device sales reps, clinical engineers, catheterization lab techs, physician assistants, or ECG technicians
• Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable)
• Background check completion; Florida and Ohio require level 2 screening (paid by Kestra)
• Willingness to pay an annual DME fee deducted from the work order
• Ability to pay for vendor credentialing upfront during a 90-day probationary period
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with good driving record
• Ability to travel in the region; disclosures for relationships and referrals
• Credentialing for hospital system entry including vaccination, background checks, drug screening, and completion of online HIPAA and safety courses

Responsibilities

• Act as a contractor APS to fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator via dispatched training assignments
• Provide instruction and instill confidence in Assure patients
• Contact prescribers, caregivers and patients to schedule services
• Accept assignments that may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours
• Travel to hospitals, patients' homes and other healthcare facilities for fittings
• Measure patients to determine garment size
• Review and transmit essential paperwork for the Assure garment and services
• Manage inventory of Assure system kits and garments
• Maintain confidentiality as required
