Job summary

Carteret Management in Florida seeks an Area Leasing Manager to lead lease-up and operations across new affordable housing communities. You will coordinate leasing, site operations, and compliance with HUD and LIHTC while delivering exceptional resident experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with LIHTC and affordable housing programs.
• Experience managing occupancy goals, leasing strategies and property marketing.
• HCCP certification required.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing and Landlord-Tenant laws.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily property operations during lease-up and stabilization phases, ensuring high customer service and resident satisfaction.
• Serve as liaison between on-site teams, corporate departments, ownership, and partners with timely updates.
• Foster a positive community environment through resident communication and engagement initiatives.
• Oversee leasing office setup and operational readiness, including systems and maintenance processes.
• Coordinate with construction, asset management, and vendors to prepare units for occupancy.
• Drive leasing and marketing efforts to achieve occupancy goals and relationships with housing agencies.
