Auto Club Enterprises seeks a Travel Agent Trainee to support the Travel Agency in selling and serving members, while gaining education and experience. This preparatory role leads to a Travel Agent position within about six months, based on performance and compliance with policies.

The Trainee will learn to sell international and domestic travel products, use lead tools, maintain high service quality, and develop expertise across the organization’s programs and vendor resources.

Qualifications

• GED required; associates preferred.
• 1-3 years travel agency or sales experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Moderate analytical and time management abilities.
• Knowledge and training on computer systems used to fulfill member travel requests and travel agency accounting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell foreign and domestic travel products and services.
• Utilize lead management tools to cultivate new business and repeat clients.
• Advise clients on travel requirements, protection plans and advisories.
• Document and process all travel transactions accurately.
• Develop knowledge of the Preferred Supplier program and achieve sales/cross-sell goals.
• Issue international driving permits and passport photos.
• Provide air, car, hotel, rail reservations and ticketing.
• Maintain confidentiality of client/member information.
• Analyze cruise and tour packages with management and avoid delays.
• Maintain service quality to meet branch objectives.
