Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a Team Lead Charge Nurse for the Trauma Unit (6400 & 6500). This Part-Time Days role involves clinical leadership, coordination of daily operations, and direct patient care as needed.

Two 12-hour shifts weekly with a $7,500 sign-on bonus. Missouri's leading Level I trauma center, recognized for exceptional care and multidisciplinary teamwork, offers growth opportunities in a Magnet-certified environment.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
• Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates identification and resolution of gaps in care from hospitalization, at discharge, and into the ambulatory care setting.
• Leads the development and implementation of complex individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and the patient, family, or caregiver in accordance with established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
• Actively utilizes and champions scientific inquiry for evidence-based practices and supports practice change based on new knowledge.
• Analyzes gap in practice standards and provides feedback to peers in collaboration with leadership to enhance safe patient care.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
