Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a Graduate Nurse for the Trauma Units 6400/6500 in Missouri. This full-time night position offers a Nurse Residency path with mentorship and a sign-on bonus up to $15,000.

You will provide direct patient care on high-acuity trauma areas, support postoperative patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care. A Nursing Diploma/Associate's is required; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care and will need licensure within 90 days of graduation.
• Nursing Diploma/Associate's is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication with multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on illness/injury, post-treatment home care, and medication administration.
• Uses nursing skills to assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Develops and implements individual plans of care with the healthcare team per standards.
• Evaluates patient responses and modifies care plans as needed throughout the stay.
• Participates in patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
