Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a Team Lead Charge Nurse to provide clinical and operational leadership on the Trauma Unit during night shifts. The role coordinates daily operations, supports staff, and serves as a clinical resource while delivering direct patient care as needed.

Qualified candidates will hold an RN license, have 2+ years of nursing experience, and demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates identification and resolution of gaps in care from hospitalization, at discharge, and into ambulatory care setting.
• Leads the development and implementation of complex individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other team members, patient, family, or caregiver.
• Actively utilizes and champions evidence-based practices and participates in journal club and practice change.
• Analyzes gaps in practice standards and provides feedback to peers to enhance safe patient care.
• BJC has determined this is a safety‑sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness is essential.
