Job summary

Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center in Akron, OH seeks a Trauma Therapist to provide trauma-informed individual and group therapy services to survivors in Summit and Medina Counties. The role emphasizes empathy, cultural sensitivity, and clinical excellence with a focus on survivors of sexual violence and intimate partner violence.

You will work primarily in direct client services. Requirements include a Master’s degree in Social Work with LSW/LISW or Counseling with LPC/LPCC, trauma-focused

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work with LSW/LISW or Master’s in Counseling with LPC/LPCC.
• Clinical training in trauma-focused therapies and experience with sexual violence and domestic violence.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet agency driving insurability.
• Pass background checks (Ohio BCI and FBI).

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide trauma-informed individual therapy services to survivors and co-survivors.
• Assess mental health conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Facilitate support groups at Hope & Healing locations and in the community.
• Maintain accurate documentation and statistics per deadlines.
• Coordinate service plans with staff and external providers.
• Approximately 75% of time in direct client services.
• Provide education and training to staff and allied professionals.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information learned on the job.
