Job summary

UC Irvine Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner II in the Department of Surgery to manage inpatient care across trauma and acute care surgery. You will perform assessments, coordinate care, and participate in trauma resuscitations and surgical consultations, under joint supervision.

The role requires California RN and NP licenses, board certification (AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG), ATLS within six months, and 1–2 years trauma/critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner program completed and board certified.
• Activities require CA RN license and NP licensure.
• Active CA NP license and Furnishing license/DEA registration.
• Board certification in AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications required.
• ATLS within six months of hire.
• 2+ years trauma/critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient care for trauma and acute care surgery patients across divisions.
• Participate in trauma resuscitations and perform surgical consultations.
• Coordinate scheduling of operations and discharge planning.
• Review critical labs and follow up on results with patients and staff.
• Provide multi-disciplinary care coordination and education.
