Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for the ORMC Downtown Orlando Trauma unit.

The role involves inpatient management, collaborative practice with physicians, and co-management of surgical patients in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include independent patient care, diagnostics, and treatment planning, OR scrubbing, wound management, and rounding with the team.

Qualifications

• APRN licensure in Florida and national certs required.
• Graduate of accredited NP or PA program with appropriate board certification.
• Current BLS certification and clinical competency in acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physician and manage surgical inpatients with minimal supervision.
• Perform advanced assessments, diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.
• Close wounds, assist in OR, and perform procedures per credentialing.
• Lead multidisciplinary rounds and participate in quality initiatives.
• Prescribe medications and oversee patient education and follow-up care.
• Maintain attendance per hospital policies and support clinical research.
